Mining Guide

Mining lets you gather ores, crystals, gemstones, and Raw Gems directly from mineral nodes found inside the dungeons. All you need is some Mining mastery, an equipped Pickaxe, and a resource node to work on.

Quick facts: Mining is currently available in Dungeon L2 and Dungeon L3. Each map can hold up to 100 active mineral nodes, with Rock and Crystal nodes generated from the same shared map capacity.

How to Mine?

  1. Travel to Dungeon L2 or Dungeon L3.
  2. Equip a Pickaxe.
  3. Find a visible Rock or Crystal node.
  4. Interact with the node to make a mining attempt. (CTRL+LCLICK)
  5. If the mining roll succeeds, the node loses one charge and may give you a loot.

A failed mining attempt does not consume a node charge. A successful mining attempt does consume one charge even when the loot roll produces no item.

Mining Success Formula

Your chance to successfully mine a node is based on your Mining mastery, the node's difficulty, and your equipped Pickaxe.

Success Chance = Mining Mastery − Node Difficulty + Pickaxe Bonus

The current Rock and Crystal nodes both have 15 difficulty. The result is never allowed to fall below 1, so even a very low-level miner still has a minimum 1% success chance. Rolls above 100 are effectively treated as 100% because the server rolls from 1 to 100.

Pickaxe+0Standard mining success rate.
Good Pickaxe+2Adds 2 percentage points to your mining success calculation.
Great Pickaxe+4Adds 4 percentage points to your mining success calculation.
Ultimate Pickaxe+7Adds 7 percentage points to your mining success calculation.
Important: Better Pickaxes improve your chance of successfully mining the node. They do not directly increase the drop chance of rare ores, gemstones, or Raw Gems.

Rock & Crystal Nodes

NodeDifficultyChargesMain rewards
Rock158 successful minesCoal, Iron Ore, Blonde Stone, Silver Nugget, Gold Nugget, Mithral, Raw Gems
Crystal158 successful minesCrystal, Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby, Diamond, Raw Gems

Each node starts with 8 charges. Only a successful mining roll removes a charge. When the eighth successful mine is completed, the node disappears and the map generator can replace it with a new mineral node.

Mining Maps & Spawn Stats

MapMaximum active mineralsPossible nodesSpawn mix
Dungeon L2100Rock / Crystal50% Rock / 50% Crystal per new spawn
Dungeon L3100Rock / Crystal50% Rock / 50% Crystal per new spawn

The generator checks for missing minerals every 600 ms. While a map is below its 100-node limit, it can create up to one new mineral on each generator check when a valid spawn tile is found.

Shared capacity: The 100-node limit is per map, not per mineral type. Rock and Crystal nodes share that same total. The server also has a global active-mineral pool of 200, matching the combined capacity of Dungeon L2 and Dungeon L3.

How Mining Loot Is Rolled

Mining loot uses two rolls after a successful mining attempt:

  1. The server randomly chooses one entry from that node's loot table.
  2. The chosen entry then rolls its own configured drop chance.

This means the percentage stored on an item is not the final chance per successful mining hit. The final chance also depends on how many entries exist in the node's loot table.

Effective Item Chance per Successful Mine = Configured Item Chance ÷ Number of Loot Entries

Rock Loot Table

Rock has 12 loot entries. On every successful mine, each entry has a 1-in-12 chance to be selected before its own drop roll is checked.

Across the entire Rock loot table, the chance of receiving any item after a successful mining roll is approximately 26.19%.

Crystal Loot Table

Crystal has 11 loot entries. On every successful mine, each entry has a 1-in-11 chance to be selected before its own drop roll is checked.

Across the entire Crystal loot table, the chance of receiving any item after a successful mining roll is approximately 12.92%.

Overall Chance From One Mining Attempt

To estimate the chance of getting a particular item from a single click, multiply your mining success chance by that item's effective loot chance.

Overall Item Chance = Mining Success Chance × Effective Item Chance

Example: a character with 100 Mining and an Ultimate Pickaxe has a 92% chance to successfully mine. Mithral has a 0.6000% effective chance per successful Rock mine:

92% × 0.6000% = approximately 0.552% Mithral chance per Rock mining attempt

The same calculation can be used for any item in the tables above.

Mining Skill Progression

Every successful mining roll attempts to increase your Mining skill progress. The current server has a global 200% Skill EXP rate, so the normal base Mining progress value of 1 is scaled to 2 before any active VIP Skill EXP bonus is applied.

  • Skill progress is awarded after a successful mining roll, even if the following loot roll gives no item.
  • Mining mastery can increase up to 100.
  • A successful mine does not mean an instant +1 Mining mastery; it adds progress toward the next mastery level.
  • Higher Mining mastery directly improves your future mining success chance.

Inventory & Ground Drops

When you successfully receive mining loot, the item is placed directly into your inventory whenever possible. If you cannot carry it, the item is dropped on the ground at your character's position instead.

Tip: Keep some inventory space free before a long mining session, especially when hunting rare Raw Gems.

Raw Gems & Jewelcrafting

Mining is one of the main sources of Raw Gems used by Jewelcrafting.

Other Mining Rules

  • You must have Mining mastery above 0.
  • A valid Pickaxe must be equipped before the server accepts the mining action.
  • Mining while invisible removes your Invisibility effect.
  • Mineral locations can also appear as mineral points on the Guide Map when that map data is available.
In short: Raise Mining mastery for a higher success rate, use a better Pickaxe for an extra success bonus, choose Rock or Crystal depending on the materials you want, and remember that rare-item chances are rolled separately from the mining success roll.
