Guild System Guide
Guilds are permanent player organizations built around a shared name, emblem, member roster, Guild EXP, treasury, notices, custom ranks, and management permissions. Helbreath Nexus expands the classic guild system into a full progression system that can grow alongside its members.
Creating a Guild
Visit the Guild Officer in your nation's Guild Hall to create a new guild.
| Requirement | Current Rule |
|---|---|
| Citizenship | Aresden or Elvine |
| Existing guild | You must not already belong to a guild |
| Creation cost | 100,000 Gold |
| Guild name length | 3–20 characters |
| Allowed name characters | Letters, numbers, spaces, - and _ |
| Duplicate names | Not allowed |
After creation, your character becomes the Guild Master and the new guild starts with 0 Guild EXP.
Guild Master
The Guild Master has full administrative control over the guild. Guild Master authority is separate from custom position titles, so changing a title does not change who owns the guild.
The Guild Master can:
- invite players,
- kick guild members,
- assign member permissions,
- set each member's Guild EXP contribution rate,
- deposit and withdraw from the Guild Bank,
- edit the Guild Notice,
- create and rename guild positions,
- assign positions to members,
- change the Guild Emblem, and
- disband the guild once all other members have left or been removed.
Joining a Guild
Guild membership is invitation-based. Players cannot simply join a guild by themselves.
- The Guild Master, or a member with Invite permission, invites an online player.
- The invited player receives an Accept / Reject popup.
- If the player accepts, the server checks that the invitation is still valid.
- The server checks the guild's current member count against its Guild EXP-based capacity.
- If space is available and both characters belong to the same nation, the player joins the guild.
The invited player must:
- be online,
- not already belong to a guild,
- belong to the same nation as the inviter, and
- accept while the inviter is still online and still has permission to invite.
New Member Defaults
New guild members begin with a clean set of guild-management settings:
| Setting | New Member Default |
|---|---|
| Management permissions | None |
| Guild EXP contribution | 0% |
| Guild position | Position 12 — Newbie |
The Guild Master can change these later from the Guild window.
Guild Level, EXP & Member Capacity
Guilds grow by earning Guild EXP. As the Guild EXP total reaches configured thresholds, the guild level rises and more member slots become available.
Current Capacity Progression
| Guild Level | Guild EXP Required | Maximum Members |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | 0 | 7 |
| 1 | 200,000 | 14 |
| 2 | 500,000 | 21 |
| 3 | 1,000,000 | 28 |
| 4 | 2,450,000 | 35 |
| 5 | 12,500,000 | 42 |
| 6 | 75,000,000 | 49 |
| 7 | 100,000,000 | 56 |
| 8 | 280,000,000 | 63 |
| 9 | 570,000,000 | 70 |
| 10 | 900,000,000 | 77 |
The Guild window displays the current guild level, Guild EXP progress, and member count in this format:
The maximum shown in the Client comes from the same server-side capacity calculation used when accepting new members. If the guild is already at its current capacity, new invitations cannot be completed until the guild levels up or a member leaves.
How Guild EXP Is Earned
The Guild Master can assign an individual Guild EXP Tax percentage to every guild member.
Guild EXP Tax is applied only after the character's normal EXP reward has already been finalized. This means applicable EXP bonuses, server rates, and party EXP sharing are calculated first.
Character Receives = Final Character EXP − Guild EXP Tax
Guild Receives = Guild EXP Tax
Example
A character's final reward after all EXP bonuses and party calculations is 1,000 EXP. Their Guild EXP Tax is set to 10%:
Character Receives = 1,000 − 100 = 900 EXP
Guild Receives = 100 Guild EXP
Guild Tax in a Party
Party EXP is divided first. After each member's individual EXP reward has been determined, that member's own Guild EXP Tax is applied separately.
Example: if three party members finally receive 1,000 EXP, 800 EXP, and 500 EXP, each character is taxed from their own amount according to their own Guild Tax setting.
Maps That Do Not Award EXP
If a map or activity does not award character EXP, it also produces no Guild EXP.
Does Guild EXP Reduce My Character EXP?
Yes. Under normal operation, Guild EXP comes directly from the taxed portion of the character's final EXP reward.
LoginServer Safety
Guild EXP delivery depends on LoginServer availability. If the Guild EXP transaction cannot be sent because LoginServer is unavailable, the character's EXP is not deducted.
Guild Permissions
The Guild Master can delegate specific powers to trusted guild members.
| Permission | What It Allows |
|---|---|
| Invite | Invite eligible players into the guild |
| Kick | Remove guild members |
| Bank | Access Guild Bank deposit and withdrawal functions |
Permissions can be mixed and matched. A member could have Invite permission without Kick or Bank permission.
Guild Positions
Guild Positions are custom titles used to organize members and show their role inside the guild.
| Position Rule | Current Value |
|---|---|
| Available position slots | 12 |
| Maximum title length | 20 characters |
| Default Position 12 title | Newbie |
| Who can edit position names? | Guild Master |
| Who can assign member positions? | Guild Master |
Position titles can appear beside the guild name when a guild member is viewed in-game.
Guild Notice
The Guild Notice is a short message shared with the entire guild.
Only the Guild Master can edit it. When changed, online guild members receive the updated notice and the action is recorded in Guild History.
Guild Bank
The Guild Bank is a shared Gold treasury for the guild.
The Guild Master and members with Bank permission can access it.
Depositing Gold
The server counts Gold across all Gold stacks in your inventory. If you have enough, the requested amount is removed and added to the guild treasury.
Withdrawing Gold
Before Guild Bank Gold is deducted, the server checks whether your character can actually receive it.
A withdrawal can be rejected if:
- the guild does not have enough Gold,
- you do not have Bank permission,
- you have no Gold stack and no free inventory slot, or
- the Gold would put you over your carrying-weight limit.
Guild Emblem
The Guild Master can choose a custom BMP emblem to represent the guild.
| Emblem Requirement | Current Rule |
|---|---|
| Format | BMP |
| Maximum size | 24 × 24 pixels |
| Supported color depth | 8-bit, 24-bit or 32-bit |
| Maximum file size | 8,192 bytes |
| Transparent color | Magenta RGB(255, 0, 255) |
| Who can change it? | Guild Master only |
Place valid emblem files in the Client's Emblems folder. The Guild window scans available BMP files and lets the Guild Master preview and apply one.
Guild History
Guild History keeps track of important guild-management activity.
Examples include:
- guild creation,
- guild invitations and accepted/rejected invitations,
- permission changes,
- member changes,
- Guild Bank activity,
- Guild Notice updates,
- position changes, and
- other administrative actions.
Online & Offline Members
The Guild member list shows whether each character is currently online. Online/offline changes are updated for other guild members as characters connect and disconnect.
Leaving a Guild
Normal members can leave their guild from the Guild window.
Leaving removes that character's:
- guild membership,
- guild permissions,
- Guild EXP contribution setting, and
- assigned guild position.
Kicking Members
The Guild Master or a member with Kick permission can remove another guild member.
Once removed, the character no longer belongs to the guild and their guild-specific settings are cleared.
Disbanding a Guild
Only the Guild Master can permanently disband the guild.
The Guild Officer requires the Guild Master to be the only remaining member.
If other members are still registered, they must leave or be removed first. Disbanding is permanent and cannot be undone.
Guild Achievements
Several guild activities have their own character-scoped achievements.
