Artisanry Guide

Artisanry lets you turn gathered materials into useful crafting materials, Raw Gems, Magic Gems, necklaces, swords, axes, and hammers. Pick a recipe in the Artisan Workshop, prepare its ingredients, choose how many you want to make, and start production.

Quick facts: The current server has 70 Artisanry recipes. You can produce 1–99 units per batch, every batch has a production time, and each requested unit receives its own independent success roll.

How to Use Artisanry

  1. Open the Artisan Workshop.
  2. Select the recipe you want to craft.
  3. Check the required Artisanry mastery, Gold fee, and ingredients.
  4. Choose a quantity from 1 to 99.
  5. Place the required materials into the matching ingredient slots.
  6. Press Produce and wait for the production bar.
  7. The result shows how many attempts succeeded and how many failed.

Materials placed into the Workshop are reserved for that crafting session. You can remove a reserved ingredient before production by using the remove button on its ingredient slot.

Batch Production

Choosing a larger quantity does not turn the whole batch into one all-or-nothing roll. Every unit is rolled separately.

Example: If you produce x20 at a 70% success chance, the server performs 20 independent success rolls. A possible result could be 14 successes and 6 failures.

The current production timer is a fixed per batch, whether you request x1 or x99. Materials and Gold must still be available for the full requested quantity before the batch can begin.

Artisanry Success Formula

Your success chance is determined by the recipe and your current Artisanry mastery.

Success Chance = Base Rate + (Artisanry Mastery ÷ 10, rounded down × Skill Bonus per 10)
Final chance cannot exceed that recipe's configured maximum rate.

Only complete groups of 10 mastery count toward the bonus. For example, 39 Artisanry uses the same success bonus as 30 Artisanry, while 40 Artisanry receives the next bonus step.

Important: A configured cap is only a ceiling. It does not mean the recipe can necessarily reach that percentage at 100 Artisanry. For example, Raw Gem recipes cap at 85%, but their current formula reaches 70% at 100 Artisanry.

How Failure Consumes Materials

Most recipes consume 50% of every required ingredient when an attempt fails. The amount is rounded up separately for each ingredient.

Failure Material Loss = ceil(Required Amount × Failure % ÷ 100)
Ingredient needed per attemptLoss at 50% failure setting
x1x1
x2x1
x3x2
x4x2
x5x3

This means a recipe using only one copy of a particular ingredient will still lose that one item on failure even when the recipe says 50% material loss.

Gold on Success & Failure

Some weapon recipes charge a separate Gold crafting fee. The current failure setting for all recipes is 100% Gold fee consumption, so that fee is paid whether that individual attempt succeeds or fails.

Note: Some recipes use Gold as an ingredient instead of a separate crafting fee. In that case it follows the recipe's material-loss rule. Current Raw Gem recipes consume 100% of their ingredients on failure, including their Gold ingredient.

Raw Gem Recipes

Artisanry can create the same Raw Gem families used by the Jewelcrafting system. These recipes are riskier than normal material crafts: they use a 40% base success rate and consume 100% of their ingredients on failure.

Weapon Crafting Requirements

Weapons use the normal 60% + 3% per 10 Artisanry success formula with a 90% cap. Higher-tier weapons require more mastery and charge a larger Gold crafting fee.

Standard Necklaces

There are currently 16 Standard Necklace recipes covering Defense, Damage, Magic Save, and Magic Resistance progressions. They require between 10 and 40 Artisanry and use a 50% base success rate with +3% per 10 Artisanry.

FamilyCraftable progressionRequired Artisanry range
DefenseDF+15 → DF+20 → DF+25 → DF+3010–40

Magic SaveMS12 → MS14 → MS16 → MS1810–40
Magic ResistanceMR15 → MR20 → MR25 → MR3010–40

Most necklace upgrades consume an earlier necklace in the same family together with Gold Nugget, Silver Nugget, and Stone of Merien, so a failed upgrade can also consume part of your progression materials.

Artisanry Skill Progression

A committed craft can attempt to increase Artisanry skill progress. This is an SSN progress attempt, not an instant +1 mastery.

  • A successful crafting attempt can award Artisanry progress.
  • A failed attempt can also award progress when that failure actually consumes configured materials or Gold.
  • Artisanry must already be above 0 and below 100 to gain this progress.
  • Each recipe also has a training ceiling based on its internal difficulty.
Current training ceilings: Most recipes use difficulty 70 and can attempt Artisanry progress while your mastery is up to 80. Raw Gem recipes use difficulty 50 and can attempt progress only up to 60. Recipes can still be crafted above these values; they simply stop being useful for Artisanry skill progression.

Artisanry Achievement

If a production batch contains at least one successful craft, it counts once toward the character's Artisanry achievement activity. A batch of x99 with many successful units still triggers the activity once for that completed batch.

Useful Tips

  • Higher Artisanry improves success chance in 10-point steps, so reaching the next multiple of 10 can matter.
  • Do not read “50% material loss” as “every item has a 50% chance to survive.” The server calculates a quantity and rounds the consumed amount up.
  • Raw Gem crafting is much harsher on failure because its current material loss is 100%.
  • For expensive recipes, remember that the Gold crafting fee is consumed even when the attempt fails.
  • Batch crafting is convenient, but each failed unit still applies its normal failure losses.
  • Mining supplies many of the ores, nuggets, crystals, gemstones, and Mithral used by Artisanry. See the Mining Guide.
In short: Choose a recipe you can meet, reserve the materials, select a quantity, and Produce. Your Artisanry mastery improves the success roll, failures can still consume materials and Gold, and every unit in a batch is resolved independently.
